Nordic Ambassadors on gender equity as a fundamental value

On the occasion of the 2020 International Women's Day, the ambassadors of the five Nordic countries published an opinion piece in the Ottawa Citizen. 

"Equality between the sexes is a condition for the success of the Nordic Model and a pillar of the Nordic welfare states. The Nordic countries' joint cultural, historical and democratic traditions have made it possible to develop close and constructive cooperation between our countries to promote gender equality and advance women's economic empowerment," the article says.
